Márta Godény and Renaud Déjardin met in 1996 at the " Conservatoire de Paris " while completing their soloist diplomas. Since then they have been playing together regularly. They create an exceptional duo, combining their individual virtuoso qualities with many years' experience of a mutual and personal way of interpreting music.

Márta and Renaud are at ease with every kind of repertoire, including contemporary and lesser-known works. Their interpretation of classical and romantic music is particularly appreciated because of their musical conviction, enthusiasm, vivacity and energy.

As soloists, they both are winners of several prestigious international competitions and are laureates of the
" Groupe Banque Populaire " Foundation. As a duo, they have been laureates of the " Fnapec " competition, receiving awards from the French Ministry of Culture. Moreover, they have been chosen to take part in the
" Déclic " program of the " AFAA " of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and are regularly sent on international tours (Hungary, Middle-East, United States, etc).

They have recorded all the Sonatas of Bohuslav Martinu for the label Arion (on sale since January 2005).
